Trouble with a member and need advice.

I'm worried right now. It all started with one of my members bugging me, trying to get me to go with their plans in running an RP forum. They basically wanted to do almost the same thing as another RP forum was doing and I was worried I would get yelled at and banned on the other forum. I kindly told him no but over the next few weeks he'd continue. So I put in a rule

Don't make repeat requests on the same subject after being denied. It's annoying, can lead to fights, and it can get you banned faster.

They asked me again over MSN and so I snapped and said if they wanted to run an RP forum their way, they should make a forum of their own. Well it seems they did. Now I'm worried they might steal my members! I don't have many members and if they leave, it will be devistating to my forum activity. Any advice on what I can do?

There isn't really anything you can do. Just keep posting good topics for everyone to post on and all the members will stay

Threaten to ban him

Make a contest or a quiz or something.

take it easy.

I don't mean to underestimate them, but in my opinion, building a forum to beat or destroy other forums is useless. stargirl, if you're afraid that members might go to their forum, you should make up things at your forum as well. try considering the critics members have for you and get closer to them so they will be happy staying in your forum.
