You know where the text ads were?

I want to know the steps taken to put stuff up there, using it for my forum

They made a portal module, and put the links in it, centered... easy enough.

I used the Announcements feature to put the text ads up

Or you can to edit the template for "index_body" if I know right. That could work too.
