Sorry, but I hate baseball
It is really boring compared to action sports like basketball, football, soccer.

Re: How about them Texas Rangers?!
maybe, but it's just as/if not more difficult.
WATCHING it, is boring, yes I agree lol.
BUT playing it, is not boring at all if you have a good team.

Re: How about them Texas Rangers?!
True, I can agree to that.
I just cant understand why some people pay thousands of dollars to go sit at games and others watch all of the million or so games on TV. Out of every 9 inning game (which might last 3 hours+) there may be two or three plays that are actually exciting to watch. But most of the time, its boring.
I think a big reason for that is, there is no pressure from a clock. You never really get the same drama as like say, in a basketball game and your team cranks up a 3 with 1.2 on the clock for the win! Plus there is too many games. Each team plays a game literally like every day. They dont seem special after awhile. I like how football only has a game once a week. It makes you appreciate it, and overall makes the game more entertaining. Lol, could you imagine watching a football game every single day
EDIT: Lol, just after posting this I saw this on Yahoo http://sports.yahoo.com/sportsminute
Thats another dumb thing about baseball. They have all these super weird rules that the umps decide to pull out every now and again just to draw attention to the league. Its dumb.

Re: How about them Texas Rangers?!
see, the whole playing every day I like about it, BECAUSE it proves how the players have an extreme amount of stamina. Football, yes takes more burst stamina, BUT baseball takes a steady amount. Micheal Young for instance. Last year, he didn't take 1 day off. he played EVERY game, playing EVERY day. Football players play 1 time a week, get taken out of the game every quarter so someone else can take their spot, and then they go back in the next quarter.
compare Football to Baseball..
Football:
15 minute quarters.
4 quarters.
15-60 seconds in between plays.
6 total timeouts
Baseball:
unlimited time per inning
9 innings
unlimited time in between pitches
no true timeouts.
I don't think people give Baseball players enough credit compared to Basketball/Football players.
I would love to see Shaq come and play baseball 1 time.
I personally hate Basketball AND Football.
My opinion on the games.
Football is full of a bunch of cocky ass Pricks who think they are hard because they get to hit someone, or get to hurt someone.
Basketball is full of a bunch of, once again, cocky black pricks.
Baseball, yes has some pricks like arod, and people like him, BUT they also have good people like on the Rangers- Ian Kinsler, Josh Hamilton, and Micheal Young.
so I dunno, I'm sick of people downing baseball, when they don't know the cold hard facts.. all they care about is being able to slam someone on the ground, injury them, and end their career.

I 100% agree with this statement. Football are just people who can REALLY take a hit and have some skill in it.
With baseball it's 100% technique, skill, stregnth and determination. And you think baseball is boring to is obviously because you haven't truly played it. And to those people who think that they will never get hurt, then say hello to my concussion which happened when an 85mph fastball hit me on the head. It's a bit of everything.
If anything, football is boring to me

Re: How about them Texas Rangers?!
me too. I agree with the skill needed for Baseball.
not saying ALL football players are dumb, but most of them are morons. the offensive linemen for example. they're huge, and basically only need to know how to do 3 things. block, cut, and pancake basically.
in baseball, you need to be smart. you need to know who is where, and what you have to do after the ball is hit. if you don't, your gonna either get hurt, or fail atthe game.
to the watching baseball, yes, I agree.. if you don't play the game, it will be boring to you, if you play it, you'll watch it all the time to get better and watch the "good" pro's play.
to getting hurt.. yes like he said, getting hurt is just as easy, but it's a different hurt most of the time. Baseball is 3 parts mental, 1 part physical. it's mental because as I said, you have to intelligent to play the game, and you get hurt mentally if you do the wrong thing. the physical aspect is a bonus to the game. if your physically active AND Mentally active, you can be really good at Baseball. but if you are missing 1 little part, it will ruin your chances.
to all you football players. tell me, which would you rather get hit by? a 6 ounce baseball, or a 300 lb linebacker? most of you would say baseball right? You will get hurt 5 times more by a baseball BECAUSE of surface area. MATH. think about it.. a 80 mile-an-hour baseball that is only 3 inches wide is going to hurt a hell of a lot more than a 300lb, 6' person, because the surface area on a person is 20 times bigger, meaning the force is spread out a lot more. think about that when you say I'd rather be hit by a baseball.

Re: How about them Texas Rangers?!
Well another thing is, although baseball may have more stamina in the eyes of the average fan, ALOT of them are using performance enhancing drugs.
Besides to be honest, baseball is alot of standing around. Basically the hitter runs to get to a base, and the outfielders run to get the ball. All the defense infield players essentially dont move at all, the catcher does nothing besides catching the ball, and pitchers are usually replaced by a relief pitcher in the 6th or 7th inning anyway!
In sports like basketball, there is CONSTANT running back and forth on a 100' long court. Football is a bit less running, but I believe there is more talent involved. Can you imagine running dozens of yards trying to get to the endzone when a bunch of 300 pound+ guys are trying to take you down? Thats hard!
Unless your going to be an outfielder or a pitcher, you really dont need to be that athletic to play baseball (besides being able to run the 30 feet or so between bases).
Also, think about this... When batting, baseball players need to hit a ball with a stick around 400 feet or so. But the thing is, they have a HUGE area in which they can hit it into. In basketball, you need to throw a ball (no help from a stick) into a metal ring just a little bit bigger than the ball itself from 20'+ away while you've got seven foot tall guys trying to stop you by putting their hands in your face! And basketball players can do this dozens of times per game, but normally, it is days or even weeks between baseball homerun.
IMO, baseball is more a game than an actual sport.

That has nothing to do with the sport itself, although strength is needed so people use the drugs.
What they don't actualy know is that swinging a bat everyday can actually help more then and type of workout, so they're the dumb ones.
And do you know how hard it is to hit a baseball? Hitting a linear is one of the hardest things to do, because your swing has to be dead on, to the mm. It takes a lot of mental focus to even hit a baseball. And we can't forget about our buddy: the pitcher. Some pitchers in MLB can throw 100mph, literally less then a second from a pitcher to the glove. People chasing you have no way of going that fast, not possible at all.
Baseball requires tons of reflexes, to fight off pitches, etc. Football, you basically need everything gasol said. Not much really
