Members who don't upload avatars

How do you feel when members don't upload avatars?

I cry...

OMG! That's annoying
and its not so hard to get one either

It annoys me alot.. I agree with summer Law, its not even hard to go in the gallery!

i dont really mind. Makes forums look better with avatars though

I don't mind what avatar they use but it feels kinda empty if they don't have one at all...

So if two people signed up with garfield avatars... they would be the same person?

That doesn't bother me much, although it makes difficult to remember my members.

I like it when members decide to upload avatars, but it doesnt really upset me if they dont.

Indeed. Once in a well reputed PC help forum, i found the Moderator with no Avatars. He has been a member there for years and he was a Mod too, but he never like to wear avatars.

Don't like avatars? Strange.

Yeah, Ive actually met quite a few people over the years who just dont like to use them.

I really don't mind it.

If they're there for the right reasons they'll want to upload an avatar.

For me, I like when people have avatars. I think they're especially important for an rpg forum because they can show what the character looks like.

To be honest, I visited this site to just get a review and go.

But the community is really growing onto me, I really like it here.

I normally didn't put a avatar, because I thought after the review I was gone but I guess I was proven wrong.

Just like saying it annoys to that some one doesn't add their age/birth date or gender or signature...

It's the members choice if they want to or not and I really don't care...

I usually access forums from my iphone rather than a computer. Because of this it's harder to add a avatar. If I'm on a computer, then I'll usually add a an avatar but I don't care if someone has an avatar or not.

It is true it is the members choice.

My problem is that I set a default no avatar image, just to get ride of the generic image when you see their profiles. But now that fills my board with green images everywhere. Which for people who really doesn't like their avatars can be as annoying and a big let down.

If I could locate it in the code and change the image there, I would, because that is all i want. >.<

I don't mind - it's optional. It doesn't mean they don't like the forum or anything because they don't add one all the time, it just means that they don't want to add one for whatever reason. It's their choice.

Many of members don't add avatar because they all are not GFX designers so most of the time they don't have nice one to match their personality like me

I prefer for people to upload avatars, it makes me suspicious if a member doesn't have a avatar and never posts.

If a member doesn't have an avatar it makes me feel like they don't care about the site that much. Most of the times they don't...

Its there choice if they want to or not but I do like to see my members with avatars.

I only find it annoying when 90% of the members of a forum don't have one. =P Then again that's a common scenario for new forums, so I got acostumed to it.

Well, I don’t really mind the fact that some of the members in my community don’t use avatars. Besides, a few of them happen to be quite good at posting messages in many parts of the forum.

Its means that there bots, spammers or just dont give a rats @$$ about the forum.

Did you have this kind of problem before in your own community, Soul Eater? While most spammers rarely ever use avatars in the forums that they visit in, I’m sure there are some posters who just don’t feel like using one.
