Criteria for Hiring Staff

What's your criteria to select staff?
Do you need to have them been previously in your boards for months?
Experience in the charge?
Do you put them to test?

I will put them on trial first, before hiring them. If they do well, they will be hired.

We aren't big on just bringing someone into the staff. If we do, they have to have legitimate past experience, the capability to work with us, knowledge of how things work, and the ability to help us as a site and community.

We promote our members to moderators, and global moderators when we fill that they can provide help, have shown loyalty, and accumulated post.

I use a test account and post things in wrong spot to see if they can spot them, also train them how to use the software.

overall I am an easy guy to get along with.

note I am not as easy if staff walks away and leaves never give me a notice. never hire him again.

I only hire people whom I have already known for a while, so I can trust their works. ^^

Only those who know how my forum works and are active for a long time per day/2 days are hired.

Demotion comes easily >.>

I think trust is essential, but I also think it is important that they are a longstanding member and that they love and believe in your forum as much as you do.

Simply a dedicated member on my forum.

I do it in two ways.

I train the members that I want or I use friends that I know and trust that are good administrators
