just started this forum and i would like any suggestions on how to improve it, please let me know all advive appreciated.

could someone please have a look at this forum and let me know what they think about how it looks?

First of all, change your forum's host.

FreeForums.org isn't all that good ( to much slow downs and over capacity with only 1 visitor online ) . Forumotion is better by far and doesn't have these kind of problems.

Secondly, join other promotion forums and advertise.

Third, hire a few staff members to advertise your forum. That's the key to getting a lot of traffic on any promotion forum, but your forum isn't a promotion forum...

Fourth, get a new forum theme. If you switched to forumotion, you can find some great themes from hitskin.

Fifth, create some events that would make your members actually stay active on your forum.

Sixth, fix your SEO forum problems.

1. seeing as im not really out to make any profit for the moment is forumotion free also?

2. i dont have a lot of experiance with forum building so is forumotion easy to use?

3. what do you mean by events?

4. what is SEO?

3. Like a Video of the Week, or a Movie of the Month, or something like that with little prizes.

4. SEO = Search Engine Optimization. It makes it easier for search engines to read your site, and index your site faster, and more effectively...

Also, get a new theme, PLEASE. I don't mean to be a downer, but the black contrasting on the gold is hurting my eyes.

Also get a rectangular banner. The square is just.... Fail.

All in all, I would suggest a complete redo of the site on forummotion.

sarted on it now with forumotion, the square banner was always just until i got one made up which i have a request in for on this site.

joel, i got that message also so that was the final thing to happen to make me go to forumotion.
