Topic Packages?
Basicly, a package to help a website get more topics. more topics leads to more posts from other members. So what do ya say about it?

Re: Topic Packages?
I voted "idk" because we usually create a few topics in regular packages anyways. :/
Besides, it might get a little confusing to members...

Re: Topic Packages?
I think this idea was taken from Forums Rule as they had this about 2 months ago.

Why do you care? Stalker
Re: Topic Packages?
@dball, it would basically be a package in which we ONLY create new topics. No replies.
Re: Topic Packages?
Yes, but note that the price for the package would be rather expensive. That is if this suggestion is accepted

Re: Topic Packages?
And I think I can find some ideas there which were also not theirs. Originality is not what it used to be when there was only one promotion or any other kind of forums or websites.CodyCFS wrote:I think this idea was taken from Forums Rule as they had this about 2 months ago.

Re: Topic Packages?
I voted No, Clearly and simply it would be to hard to create 21 topics of the top of your head, Unless ofcourse the forum is new.
I think the packages are as good as they are because new topics are mostly created in there.

Re: Topic Packages?
Well Ninja, nobody said 21 yet I believe. We are just discussing the idea first.
We will talk about numbers later.

Re: Topic Packages?
well, I voted for no.
I think our packages are okay as it is. in my opinion, a packager who only creates topics but no replies to any other topics seems weird. it'd be best if there's a fair distribution of making threads and replies to topics. that way it will seem more natural.

Re: Topic Packages?
Maybe a mixed package?
Ie, 8 replies and 2 new topics? Total 10 posts.
OR something like that?

Re: Topic Packages?
But why should we do this?
every other forum offers posts and topics, and AH only offers posts, it should stay like that, why changing?
So voted no.

Re: Topic Packages?
^
Because, maybe some admins are in a "writer's block" and can't think up any topics, have you considered that?
Adding a topic package service would be great and more helpful to forums that are struggling.

--;
"Writer's block" would be a time, when a author can't think up any good ideas, no matter how hard they try.
In forum terms, this would mean the administrator can't think up any good topics to make and usually it affects the possibility of active members or the activity on the forum.

LOL certain one cannot take a no for answer...
The way I see it, it could be a good kick up for new forums if you make a small package of only threads. For bigger communities idea of a package consisting only of threads is hard to complete, specially for one member.
Of course the struggling varies from member to member, myself I am struggling in other place where I have to make at least twenty topics in a package of a hundred posts. I can only be grateful this was a special edition so it is not something we'd do often. Yet I saw one of our mates finishing one in less than 48 hours. XD
Anyway, I am holding my vote for now. I am leaning more towards yes, as I am sure it would help and seem attractive to other forums, but I am not sure if the way it is going to be put in motion will make it easy in the packager as well.
I am with phio about it looks unnatural, but think it will still good to give them the choice, if they still want it and we are up for it, then I don't see why not.

Re: Topic Packages?
I will again bring this into discussion in the staff board. It may or may not be added.
