MyBB.

PHPBB3 is the least quality forum software. Even SMF is better. Though only barely better. Still better.

phpBB3 is by far the best free forum software out there, those guys who say MyBB is are nuts.

phpbb is not the best and never will be. they stick to boring systems like that old warning system. look at it compared to mybb. thats a certain amount of warnings and your banned... mybb goes by percentage. you can set it so that at 35% warning you lose posting power for a week or so, then the punishments can keep getting bigger depending on percentage.

and mybb's reputation system isnt a piece of trash like the one here. each person can change someone else's reputation ONE time and that's all. But lets look at the normal phpbb rep.... wait.... THEY'RE TOO STUPID TO MAKE A DEFAULT ONE!

MyBB has better attachments and... it isn't difficult at all to maintain like phpBB3.

actually, i was... but really at least mybb has a GOOD rep system while phpbb doesnt have one be default

I started my forum managing with phpBB and will never switch.

yeah, i can understand not wanting to switch from something you have used for a long time to something you dont know anything about.... its hard getting used to changes sometimes... but sometimes changing is worth it too

also, if you have a phpbb forum and you got like a good community going, NEVER switch to MyBB because then you have to start from the beginning since you switched... just a tip for everyone cause i know what it's like

i knew very little about mybb when i posted this and i saw a couple people here say mybb was better so i was wondering

I prefer phpbb. I'm more comfortable with it, and I know how to use it (as a user).

Personally I prefer phpbb, but overall I'd still go with myBB.

I used both and myBB's not always reliable, albeit myBB has more flexibility and options. I think it's more at what you're comfortable with.
